ABSTRACT
Micromorphological and ultrastructural analyses of the leaf trichomes Salvia fruticosa Mill. were performed by light electron microscopy. The leaves bear numerous non-glandular unbranched trichomes, peltate, capitate digitiform glandular trichomes. Very elongated flagelliform densely covered surfaces, with especially abundance on margins. Peltate consist a basal epidermal cell, very short stalk cell large round head eight secretory cells arranged in circle. Capitate can be divided into two main types, short-stalked long-stalked, further five subtypes according to number cells, morphology cells. Digitiform one or apical which are similar diameter approximately equal length.
