ABSTRACT
Background/Aim. Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecologic malignancies. Risk malignancy index (RMI) recommended in assessment patients with adnexal masses. The aim this study was to verify effectiveness RMI discrimination between benign lesions and malignant masses clinical practice. Methods. Ultrasounds were performed for all menopausal status, CA125 level calculated defined. All divided into 3 groups depending on (< 25, 25-200, > 200). After operations analyzed histopathologically (HP) then sensitivity, specificity predictive value calculated. Results. Out a total 81 involved tumor had 51 (62.96%) 30 (37.04%) patients. average group 68.3 U/mL it 581.95 U/mL. In 284.9 469.2. results showed positive correlation both HP categories categories. more result produced higher cut off = 200. Sensitivity 83.33%, 94.12%, 89.29% negative 90.57%. Conclusion. Our that very reliable differentiation
