ABSTRACT
SUMMARY A transplant experiment using an animal was carried out for monitoring and mapping air pollution in Brussels during the Winter of 1980. A microarthropod, Humerobates rostrolamellatus (Acari: Oribatida), known to be sensitive to S02 was used as a biological indicator.
