ABSTRACT
In a previous paper of this series (von Brand and Simpson, 1942) it was shown that larval Eustrongylides occurring normally in cysts Fundulus can be kept alive long time vitro various media, provided conditions remain sterile throughout the whole course experiments. A continuation amplification these studies seemed indicated, since, with exception Glaser Stoll's (1938) (1940) work on Haemonchus larvae, no data are known behavior parasitic nematodes under conditions. It becomes more evident, however, from year to development media for maintenance worms will represent starting point which physiology organisms studied much greater degree reliability than hitherto possible. present following points have been investigated: influence pH, carbohydrates lowering temperature 37? 20? C survival. Also were rates consumption oxygen, sugar, glycogen
