ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Objective: To assess the effectiveness of Class II subdivision Herbst nonextraction treatment and its short-term stability retrospectively. Materials Methods: Twenty-two (SUB: right-left molar difference ≥0.75 cusp width) 22 symmetric patients (SYM: width bilaterally) were matched according to gender pretreatment handwrist radiographic stage. The mean duration subsequent multibracket phase was 8 months 14 months, respectively. retention period amounted 36 months. Dental casts from before (T1), after (T2), Multibracket (T3), (T4) evaluated. Results: A bilateral I or super relationship seen in 72.7% (SUB) 77.3% (SYM) at T3. corresponding values T4 63.7% (SYM). unilateral III more frequent SUB group (T3: +4.6%; T4: +13.6%). For overjet, similar both groups SUB, 2.7 mm; SYM, 2.3 mm) (T4: 3.0 3.4 mm). This also true for midline shift −0.4 0.0 −0.3 Conclusion: successful similarly treatment. However, a slight overcompensation (Class tendency) (original side).
