ABSTRACT
To test the hypothesis that there is no difference in shear bond strength of brackets bonded to provisional crown materials (PCMs) using two adhesive agents.Four PCMs were tested: Integrity, Jet, Protemp, and Snap. Forty cylindrical specimens 10 mm diameter x 5 prepared for each PCM. Ten from group one brackets, Clarity or Victory, adhesives, Fuji Ortho LC Bracket Adhesive. The debonded at a cross-head speed mm/min, (SBS) was calculated. type failure visually determined. numeric data analyzed three-way analysis variance Tukey multiple range alpha = .05.The mean SBSs ranged 2.81 MPa 9.65 MPa. There significant between Snap other three (P < .0001). adhesives > .05). all PCM resin. The yielded significantly lower SBS value compared materials. No differences found adhesives. type.
