OBJECTIVE—To describe the diagnosis of a patient with neonatal diabetes who had been misdiagnosed type 1 and referred to our hospital for pancreas kidney transplantation because end-stage renal disease. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS—A was made after molecular genetic study revealed mutation in exon 34 ABCC8 gene. Pancreas ill-advised.
