ABSTRACT
Fusion behaviour of synthetic slags resembling those produced during Alumino-thermic reduction chromite ore for production Low-carbon ferro-chrome has been thoroughly discussed. The effect fluxes like CaO, MgO and CaF2 on the measured values characteristic temperatures, which represent fusion a slag, experimentally determined critically discussed. All three fluxing constituents are found to decrease temperatures. is gap between liquidus temperature characterising flow slag.
