ABSTRACT
Strip in TWIP steel with the composition of Fe–23Mn–3Si–3Al fabricated by twin-roll strip casting was investigated. Large edge cracks, which were prone to occur hot rolled steels, avoided using casting. The cold and annealed exhibited a reasonably good combination strength ductility after annealing at 1373 K for 20 min, tensile elongation being 655 MPa 57.4%, respectively, cast 80% that conventional processed counterpart. Fine grain structure formed increased critical resolved shear stress (CRSS) twinning suppressed generation deformation twins during plastic make less contribution total elongation.
