ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a joint affection, defined by articular cartilage demolition, risks of which rise with age. The aim this study was to compare the efficacy chondroitin sulfate (CS) course and multistrain live probiotic (LP) administered alone or in combination on expression TLR-2, TLR-4, TNF-α NF-κB cartilage, subchondral bone synovial membrane during OA rats.METHODS: induced male rats injecting monoiodoacetate (MIA) right hind knee. Therapeutic groups received 3 mg/kg chondroprotector (ChP) CS for 28 days and/or 140 LP diet 14 days. were determined immunohistochemical staining kits (Thermo Fisher Scientific).RESULTS: It established that MIA injection associated long-term structural changes tissues corresponded OA-like features activation pathogen-recognizing molecules proinflammatory signaling pathways expression. Separate therapy ChP probiotics slightly decreased score limiting cell death resorption. However, these not significant decrease NF-kB On other hand, treatment significantly score. This correlated chondrocytes cells.CONCLUSIONS: outcomes our research prove ChPs amplify positive action LPs attenuation.
