ABSTRACT
To evaluate the impact of oral treatment under general anaesthesia (GA) on health-related quality life (OHRQoL) in children with severe dental caries; to assess effect children's weight (Wt), height (Ht) and Body Mass Index (BMI).One hundred uncooperative 3-5 years old were selected. OHRQoL, assessed Early Childhood Oral Health Impact Scale (ECOHIS), Ht, Wt BMI measured at baseline after 1 year from anaesthesia.All statistical procedures performed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS Windows). ANOVA analysis was made GA health children.After year, reductions ECHOIS components statistically significant (P < 0.0001). Children showed a improvement relation pain, eating, sleeping behavioural problems. At follow-up, there anthropometric measures: 55% increased percentile curves BMI; 44% height.One complete GA, both OHRQoL growth improved.
