Mathematics Teachers in Teaching 4C Skills: School-University Perspective

ABSTRACT
In the 21st century, teacher education is required to look for new ways improve quality of mathematics teachers. However, facts seen from PISA test show that achievement Indonesian students always low. Additionally, OECD reports only 1% in Indonesia are able answer questions at a low level. The research aims identify and find out what educators face preparing teachers with 4C skills knowing solutions difficulties. method qualitative exploratory case study single design. subjects were schools prospective universities. Data collection techniques using documents interviews. Ten university perspective ten in-service school perspective. data analysis technique uses constant comparative method. results found five common challenges: lack learning ability motivation among teachers, pedagogical challenges, capacity conceptual understanding educators, supporting programs facilities, political challenges. Another finding two main concerns; universities must implement new, dynamic systems equip graduates resources teach innovatively.
