FEATURES OF THE MIX TIME OF BITUMEN EMULSIONS WITH CEMENT FOR SLURRY SURFACING TECHNOLOGY

Pavement grade cationic bitumen emulsions formulations were developed for Slurry Surfacing based on orthophosphoric and hydrochloric acids with both all-purpose specialized emulsifiers used. As a result, there established relations of mix time upon cement - various emulsifiers. Mix (having different content) is characterized by parabolic relation, branches the parabola going down. Still, slope steepness acid higher than acid. The regularity investigated allows affirming that dosing orthophosphoric-based shall be more diligently checked controlled – so as to avoid premature time.
