ABSTRACT
The soundscape studied has gained increasingly frequent attention across multiple disciplines, especially in tourism and leisure domain. Therefore, comprehensive mapping review studies is imperative to understand its implications for potential inbound research future. This article aimed explore by assessing trends developments recent decades (2013–2023). We applied bibliometric approach, using PRISMA framework under NVivo 12 Plus, VOSViewer, Biblioshiny-R-Studio software as analytical tools. Significant yield discoveries showed that undergoing steady growth, evidenced quantity publications citation trends. Single multi-country international collaborations characterized outreach playing an influential role were highlighted. identified themes, such anthropogenic noise music heritage, pointed out how we approached this from two perspectives: environmental/natural manufacturing/acoustics. In our review, several keywords predominant themes identified, which suggested have recently become popular topic research. broad spectrum key tourism, tourists, sustainability, areas, development perspectives, are evidence points significant diversity these topics. Most importantly, offers theoretical conceptual future direction studies. three originality main focus domains research: urban environments, technological advancements, tourists’ perceptions behaviors.
