ABSTRACT
Background: With the increasing use of narcotic analgesics, Ministry Food and Drug Safety has been operating National Narcotics Information Management System (NIMS) since 2018 in Korea.Some studies are related to analgesics use, but evaluation system, including NIMS users insufficient.Objective: This study evaluated enforcement process through in-depth interviews on experience using doctors pharmacists who prescribe or dispense opioid analgesics.Methods: Participants this were selected purposeful sampling as three two metropolitan area.The conducted from August 27 October 19, 2022.Each interview was analyzed a phenomenological method.Results: Six components included "Doctors come across drug abusers", "They respond individually tailored needs system managers", concerned about role practice settings", face challenges against abusers" find way utilize deal with abusers."The confirmed that used little their work, they only reported data.Therefore, it might be difficult for take measures safe analgesics.Conclusion: It is likely adding data-feedback medication-check function can reduce abuse analgesics.In future, further empirical results review systems other countries will required.
