ABSTRACT
The predatory mite, Neoseiulus neoagrestis Khaustov and Döker (Acari: Phytoseiidae), recently described as new species for science, but seems to have a great potential be used in biological control. In this study, first step determine the optimum temperature (between three temperatures tested) its mass rearing, we studied characteristics life table parameters fed on Tyrophagus putrescentiae (Schrank) Acaridae) at different (20, 25, 30 °C) under laboratory conditions. Results show that immature development, oviposition period well reproductive of predator are significantly vary depending temperature. developmental times adult longevity females, ranged between 5.42 10.42 days 39.88 74.12 days, based temperature, respectively. Average total number eggs laid by per female 25 °C (62.29) (58.65) more or less similar higher than determined 20 (41.46). highest net rate (R0) is 29.066 (offspring/individual) °C. addition, intrinsic natural increase (r) 0.241 day-1 Furthermore, finite (λ = 1.272 day-1), shortest mean generation time (T 13.416 days) doubling (DT 2.874 also Our results demonstrate N. successfully completed can survive reproduce all tested temperatures. Nevertheless, series differentially affected Finally, suitable rearing T . putrescentiae. Further studies should conducted several important pests such spider mites, whiteflies thrips.
