Modelling and analysis of the low-power 3-phase switched reluctance motor

ABSTRACT
Switched reluctance motors (SRMs) are still under development to maximise their already proven usefulness.A magnetic circuit of the SRM can be made soft composites (SMCs).The SMCs composed iron powder with dielectric and have a lot advantages in comparison commonly used electrical steel.The paper deals modelling analysis produced by Emerson Electric Co. for washing machines.Numerical calculations were done using FEMM 4.2 program.Magnetic flux densities lines calculated, as well electromagnetic torque inductance changing position stator rotor.The obtained results compared other measurement quite similar.The developed numerical model will project motor an SMC circuit.
