ABSTRACT
This paper presents a comparative study between the conventional PI (Proportional Integral) and backstepping controllers applied to DFIG (Doubly Fed Induction Generator) used in WECS (Wind Energy Conversion System). These two different control strategies proposed this work are developed active reactive power of on one hand, maintain DC-link voltage constant for inverting function other hand. This is ensured by generating signals electronic converters, RSC (Rotor Side Converter) GSC (Grid Converter). In order optimise production WT Turbine), an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm along with each technique. To simulate effectiveness controllers, MATLAB/Simulink Software used, obtained results analysed discussed compare terms robustness against wind speed variations tracking performance dynamic steady states.
