ABSTRACT
Currently, overhead lines dominate in the Polish medium and low voltage distribution networks.Maintaining their high reliability constitutes a very important challenge, especially under severely changing climate conditions. An power line exposed to ice rime loads has been considered.Using finite element method (FEM), mechanical of infrastructure was examined various atmospheric conditions.Loads stressful conditions rime, wind were determined for weakest section 30 kV line, which consisted concrete poles ACSR conductors.SAIDI SAIFI indices costs several variants object reconstruction. The results allowed determination solution relying on relocating cables all lateral branches main protection, through system based weather-coordinated increase electrical load.To verify proposed, field experiment conducted. The confirmed effectiveness proposed that appears be universal. The paper is result synergic cooperation two academic teams, i.e. engineering one, Distribution System Operator (DSO).
