ABSTRACT
To determine clinical signs, results of diagnostic testing, underlying cause, and outcome in cats with seizures.Retrospective study.17 seizures.Only those which an metabolic abnormality causing the seizures had been identified, imaging brain CSF analysis done, or a necropsy performed were included. Seizures classified as being result disease, symptomatic epilepsy (ie, resulting from structural lesion brain), probably without any extracranial identifiable intracranial disease that is not suspected to be genetic origin).3 associated (hepatic encephalopathy), 7 (3 neoplasia 4 meningoencephalitis), epilepsy. Six died euthanatized within 3 months after diagnosis was made, whereas 6 survived for at least 12 made.Results suggest may have good long-term prognosis.
