ABSTRACT
To determine outcomes and prognostic factors for those in dogs with appendicular osteosarcoma treated curative-intent surgery adjuvant carboplatin.Retrospective case series.65 client-owned no evidence of gross metastatic disease at the time diagnosis.Medical records that underwent limb amputation or distal ulnectomy carboplatin treatment were reviewed. Adverse effects chemotherapy findings regarding preoperative biopsy specimens postoperative diagnostic imaging recorded. Signalment, clinical history, variables evaluated associations outcome. Histologic grade other association outcome 38 tumors retrospectively graded. The median disease-free interval was 137 days (95% confidence [CI], 112 to 177 days). Median survival 277 CI, 203 355 The 1-, 2-, 3-year rates 36%, 22%, 19%, respectively. None associated Preoperative proteinuria only variable poor features a intravascular invasion, mitotic index > 5 3 microscopic hpfs, III classification.Carboplatin administration well tolerated resulted similar published protocols.
