ABSTRACT
Thermal sprayed ceramic coating system consists of top coat (TC), bond (BC), and substrate. Mechanical properties the TC differ from those bulk due to micro cracks voids in coating. A stress-strain constitutive equation is one most important mechanical for stress analysis system. However, case evaluation methods using a freestanding coating, specimen breaks at quite low strain because rapid crack propagation. On other hand, specimen, substrate prevents fracture, hence up high obtainable. All previous are based on bending deflection, however, accuracy required porous TBC. In this study, highly accurate method inelastic thermal was proposed. This can evaluate by calculating secant modulus elasticity each load. First, it confirmed FEM that proposed able provide equation. Thereafter, we experimentally evaluated equations coatings. As result, mechanism non-linearity be explained static friction opening / closure, which specific
