A comprehensive evaluation of county economies in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region based on entropy TOPSIS analysis

Abstract Although the economy of a county that is linked to surrounding towns and rural areas constitutes multiple basic economic unit within China's national economy, it usually exhibits independent characteristics functions. Consequently, county's plays critical role in overall development country's economy. We created an evaluation index system based on entropy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) carry out comprehensive across entire Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. found serious imbalances these counties, with economies Beijing Tianjin being more advanced than those Hebei Province. Furthermore, there were marked differences between prefecture-level cities The developmental level counties like Langfang, Tangshan Chengde was relatively high. Conversely, Hengshui, Baoding, Xingtai Handan lower. Moreover, among relation development, especially smaller Hengshui Qinhuangdao. analysed identified factors influencing before providing recommendations.
