ABSTRACT
Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate the occurrence mastitis and its impact on reproductive parameters in a herd 180 dairy cows. Based records 127 cows Slovak spotted cattle their crosses with red Holstein were selected for between 1—2 months after calving. examination health status mammary glands consisted of: clinical udder, California test (CMT) supplemented by collection mixed milk samples, laboratory bacterial pathogens causing mastitis. In addition mam­mary investigation, reproduction indicators such as length insemination interval, service period, intercalving period index also analyzed. results indicated: high incidence (41.6 %), especially latent (21.2 subclinical (15.7 %) (4.7 forms most common herd. frequently isolated bacteria from infected samples were: coagulase negative staphylococci (54.1 S. aureus (16.9 Streptococcus spp. (15.0 A. viridans (7.5 Ent. faecalis (6.4 %). According available literature, optimum values 365—400 days, interval 55—80 1.2—2 60—110 days. comparison, our showed increased, unsatisfactory group While healthy well groups mastitis, all within optimal levels.
