ABSTRACT
Abstract The aim of our study is to establish the determinant ecological factors that have greatest differential impact on distribution meadow steppe plant communities Western Podolia (Ukraine) base a synphytoindication analysis. There were 8 sites within area in L’viv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. To determine coenotic affinity studied species, 48 relevés analyzed. Numerical classification based Modified TWINSPAN algorithm divided dataset into five clusters, which been identified as associations Pastinaco sativae-Arrhenatheretum elatioris , Geranio sanguinei-Trifolietum alpestris Inuletum ensifoliae Jurineo calcareae-Stipetum capillatae Lembotropio nigricans-Potentilletum arenariae . results gradient analyses indicate Upland closely correlates with number climatic (thermoregime continentality climate) especially edaphic (soil humidity, soil acidity carbonate content) factors.
