ABSTRACT
Abstract Zayandehrud Dam Lake located in Isfahan province is the largest lake central Iran. In this study, plankton communities including phytoplankton and zooplankton were studied as bioindicator organisms for assessment of water quality Lake. The collected from four stations at different seasons during 2014 by using a Nansen bottle sampler. samples with net (mesh size = 50 µm). community was composed Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Dinophyceae Chrysophyceae. viz; Cladocera, Rotifera Copepoda found to have density range 13–155, 21–141 11–93 (ind. m −3 ), respectively. general, communities, especially presence genera such Cyclotella , Dynobrion Bosmina Daphnia (as indices oligotrophic lakes) also absence Microsystis Brachionus Lecane are seen important eutrophic lakes. It could be concluded that can classified healthy body.
