ABSTRACT
Abstract Using data from a survey of 3,700 German establishments, this study examines how the adoption new digital technologies correlates with key labour market indicators: hires, workload intensification and workforce qualifications. Findings interviews reveal mixed impact digitalisation on job demands employment dynamics. While some firms experience relief, others face heightened pressures. Despite widespread adoption, there is scant evidence significant losses attributed to technology integration. Instead, suggests modest trend towards creation. Notably, investment in training emerges as crucial factor managing transition.
