ABSTRACT
Several plant species have been used for the treatment of diabetes. Research on plants that can be to treat diabetes such as Cinnamomum cassia and zeylanicum, Piper sarmentosum Roxb, Nelumbo nucifera, Ceiba petandra Memecylon malabaricum. Broccoli (Brassica oleracea L var italics) is a flower vegetables like cabbage plants. juice made capable direct indirect effects reduction blood LDL; effect by repairing pancreatic beta cells increasing insulin sensitivity. The purpose this study was determine whether broccoli has activity antidiabetic. subjects consisted 15 mice induced with nicotinamide 70 mg/kg BW Stz 150 BW. Diabetic were divided into positive control group (glibenclamide), negative (CMC Na) three groups. test material extract dose 75 mg / kg BW, /kg 300 given peroral 14 days. Anova results showed there significant difference in average percentage decreased glucose levels all treatments. result Post Hock Tukey HSD 95% confidence level compared 300mg This shows extracts body weight an decrease level.
