ABSTRACT
Harvesting of apple mangoes fruit that simultaneously causes not all mango fruits are harvested ripe. Farmers should sort the manually. So, harvesting in large quantities will take a long time. There several obstacles to It needs skills and experiences it many workers. In addition, when is ripe immediately sorted, be too decayed, so cause losses. Previous research has already made classification system level but required an expensive tool time process one mango. This proposes new strategy measure ripeness fruit, especially at low cost, without device takes short based on skin color region using feed-forward neural network. The test used 214 images consisting 4 classes. Validation k-fold 7, 9, 11 with average accuracy 90.61%, 91.41%, 90.82%. Highest value 91.41% 9 while lower least standard deviation value. A small means more stable than others
