Non-breeding season records of warblers in the Phylloscopus reguloides lineage from Thailand and Myanmar

A total of 20 individual Phylloscopus warblers in the ‘Blyth’s Leaf Warbler P. reguloides lineage’, caught for ringing non-breeding season Thailand and Myanmar, were resolved via mtDNA assay as (seven individuals), Claudia’s claudiae (12) Hartert’s goodsoni (one). As expected, proved to be most widely distributed. The occurrence four on an island Thai Gulf, alongside large numbers typically Sundaic wintering species northbound migration during late March–early April, indicates that its range probably extends further south than previously recognised, into subregion.
