ABSTRACT
Objectives: With the increasing threat of multidrug-resistant organisms, colistin has become popular in clinical practice. A better understanding antimicrobial susceptibility testing methods for is needed optimal patient management. The aim study was to determine accuracy E-test, Vitek 2 system detection minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) against broth microdilution (BMD). Material and Methods: total 100 isolates Gram-negative bacilli were subjected using following methods: BMD, 2, disk diffusion. Using BMD as gold standard, comparative analysis between different carried out. Results: Comparison MIC values E-test (GM = 0.488 mg/ml) 0.611 mg/ml unpaired t -test ( 2.015, P 0.045) showed that geometric means E-strip significantly lower than BMD. Similarly, comparison 0.615 −0.050, 0.960) no statistical significant differences values. Taking reference method – EA 57%, CA 97%, VME 2%, ME. 64%, 98%, 1%, ME 1%. Conclusion: Different show great variation their results best candidate standard. good concordance with
