ABSTRACT
A novel miniatured reconfigurable antenna for wireless applications using defective ground structure is proposed and studied. This generates eight different frequencies, operating at 2 GHz (IMT), 2.3 (UMTS), 2.5 (Wi-Fi), 2.7 (Radio astronomy), 2.9 (Weather radar), 4.2 altimeter), 4.4 determination), 5.5 (Wi-MAX) while maintaining overall compact size of 24 × 33 1.6 mm 3 an FR-4 substrate having a permittivity ε r = 4.4.The consists three switches in the slots patch along with rectangular defects on surface microstrip feed line. The lumped elements are used place simulation to get tuneable capacitance, which responsible frequency reconfigurability. It makes operate useful bands. The shows impedance bandwidths 6.86%, 6.04%, 2.51%, 2.73% gains 5 dB, 4.8 6 6.8 respectively. The designed can be easily integrated modern communication devices.A prototype fabricated, results compared measured values PIN diode switches.
