ABSTRACT
The adsorption capability of Ni/Al LDH modified with gambier leaf extract was evaluated for the removal Rhodamine B (RhB), Malachite Green (MG), and Methylene Blue (MB) dyes from aqueous solutions. UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis revealed that Ni/Al-Gambier Leaf Extract exhibited a higher efficiency in cationic dye compared to unmodified LDH. percentages RhB, MG, MB using were 6.00%, 40.05%, 14.73%, respectively. However, after modification Gambier Extract, these values significantly improved 25.62%, 39.48%, 31.06%, This enhancement attributed polyphenolic functional groups present extract, which strengthened electrostatic interactions promoted adsorption. These findings indicate incorporating into enhances its performance, making it promising material improving wastewater treatment.
