ABSTRACT
Farming is one sector that has an important role in building Indonesia's economic growth, especially for daily food. Farm production facing challenges, include the low yield, traditional management, and problems related to animal health. Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR) Malignant Catarrhal Fever (MCF) are diseases caused by Herpesviridae. These high mortality rate disease cause huge loss. Farms located nearby deer captivity increases risk of be infected same diseases. Surveillance needed discover number animals their effect on environment. Herpesviridae identification surveillance was done through accurate method, e.g. a molecular method. This research Lampung Disease Investigation Center funded Food Agriculture Organization (FAO). three steps, DNA isolation, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), electrophoresis, visualization.
