ABSTRACT
Parkia speciosa (petai) pods are rarely used and considered as waste despite their phenolic flavonoid content. Phenolic content in plants known to exhibit antioxidant activity. Antioxidants potentially act agains radical mediate the damage by structural stabilization. This research was conducted analyze potential of petai using DPPH method. Analysis showed IC50 ethanolic extract 75.72 ppm, which indicate strong acting antioxidant. Standardization extracts were determined manage quality extract, including analysis density, water content, ash values, quantification total Research outcome retain its during storage use confrmed standardization requirements values. Total phenolics obtained 272.45 mg/gGAE 243.2029 mg/gQE respectively. Based from this research, present activity contributed high existing compounds.
