ABSTRACT
Achilles tendinopathy negatively affects a person's ability to be physically active. However, remaining active during the rehabilitation process does not impact clinical outcomes when pain-monitoring model is followed. There are several factors, such as progression of pain and structural changes, kinesiophobia, functional impairments, or medical advice, which may explain why some patients become inactive while others maintain lifestyle. The purposes this study were 1) compare presentation with high low activity levels 2) examine relationship between tendon thickening symptom severity in 3) determine proportion who have degree kinesiophobia if differs based on level.Cross-sectional.Fifty-three dichotomized into (n=30) (n=23) groups their physical level. Patient characteristics, severity, thickening, lower leg function quantified analyzed test hypotheses.Patients had greater larger body mass compared levels. no differences groups. A negative (r=-0.491; p<0.001) was found severity.
