ABSTRACT
Objective: To compare the hemodynamic stability of etomidate and remimazolam during painless gastroscopy evaluate safety in elderly patients undergoing gastroscopy. Methods: A total 100 aged 65–80 years, with American Society Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I–II, who underwent gastrointestinal endoscopy were included this study. The randomly assigned to receive either 0.2 mg/kg (Group R) or 0.3 (E group) combination alfentanil for anesthesia induction. Results: mean arterial pressure (MAP) heart rate (HR) significantly higher E group compared Group R (P < 0.05). Ephedrine was administered more frequently (30%) than (10%), a statistically significant difference = 0.023). incidence myoclonus markedly lower (0%) (60%, P 0.01). Conclusion: During gastroenteroscopy alfentanil, associated MAP HR etomidate. Patients receiving experienced post-induction hypotension. Nonetheless, efficacy comparable those etomidate, supporting its suitability as sedative ASA I–II endoscopy.
