ABSTRACT
Introduction: Healthcare-Associated Infections are illnesses acquired after the patient's admission to hospital unit and which manifest themselves during hospitalization or discharge. Aim: To analyze panorama of health-related infections in patients admitted intensive care units. Outlining: Cross-sectional, retrospective study, collected from Hospital Infection Control Commission database a public July December 2022. Crude adjusted odds ratios were calculated using logistic regressions. The study followed ethical legal precepts resolution 466/2012. Results: There was predominance males those aged over 60 years. main clinical problems co infection with COVID-19 co-infection HIV. Regarding previous conditions, Systemic Arterial Hypertension stood out. When analyzing etiological agents, presence Klebsiella pneumoniae showed marginally significant association an increase chances death. Implications: use invasive devices, prolonged stay other factors such as age, associated comorbidities, predictors mortality among patients, well risk for development Pneumoniae Carbapenemase infection.
