The HyMethShip project (Hydrogen-Methanol Ship propulsion using on-board pre-combustion carbon capture) is a cooperative R&D funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. aims to drastically reduce emissions while improving efficiency of waterborne transport. system will achieve reduction in CO2 up 97% practically eliminate SOx particulate matter emissions. NOx fall over 80 %, safely below IMO Tier III limit. In this study concept introduced various aspects development are discussed.
