ABSTRACT
In recent years, steam turbines experience increasing quantities of load changes along with extended part operation, posing new challenges for the regulation turbines. Control valves are commonly used throttling turbines, accompanied by highly unsteady flow conditions at load. The resulting pressure fluctuations can trigger valve vibrations reduced component lifetime and structural failures. Most experimental research considers stiff configurations focus on improved shapes. As a result, availability data elastic configuration is rare. To enhance comprehension fluid-structure interaction, control test rig featuring scaled model an stem introduced in this paper. addition to setup, first results presented compared numerical simulations published data. Using time resolving signals, critical operating points detected further investigations.
