ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT
Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a rare disorder for which epidemiological studies are limited. Proper diagnosis of AIHA supported by clinical laboratory data that demonstrate all aspects the disease including evidence low hemoglobin (Hb), indication hemolysis elevated lactate dehydrogenase, and demonstrating involvement immune system positive direct antiglobulin test (DAT). The purpose this study was to investigate incidence at our institution establish correlation between DAT strength reaction severity. Here, we identified more prevalent among children patients ages 61 70 years old female Caucasian/White Hispanic. A severity observed, negative Hb identified. Our findings also showed age type dependent on strength. results from propose further evaluation as value can indicate possibly implementing flag when communicating clinicians.
