ABSTRACT
Breastfeeding plays an important role in the growth and development of infants. However, breast milk may be contaminated with various mycotoxins. Ochratoxin A is one most mycotoxins nephrotoxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic, genotoxic, immunotoxic properties. Thus, we carried out this study to determine concentration ochratoxin human Jiroft, Kerman Province, south Iran.Eighty-four samples were collected from mothers visiting number clinic Jiroft city. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used detect samples.Ochratoxin found all tested at a ranging 0.11 7.34 ng/ml. The mean 1.99±1.34 Fourteen contained concentrations exceeding quantitation limit (3 ng/ml).The results showed that infants are exposed our region. In cases limit, infant's body cannot detoxify toxin. Therefore, infant can affected by illnesses such as nephropathy, immune system deficiency, different types cancer.
