ABSTRACT
This convergent mixed method study aimed at exploring the English context of widely used Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT) by juxtaposing it to its sequel, International Language Testing System (IELTS).For this purpose, Common European Framework Reference (CEFR) international standards which is as a benchmark for both tests.The focused on comparing EmSAT and IELTS test specifications their alignment with CEFR standards.The takers reported in terms five categories: Scoring, Presentation Format, Delivery, Structure Preparation Practice.The results revealed that are not aligned rigorously standards.Moreover, mostly lower measurement levels while higher CEFR.The some advantages disadvantages about EmSAT.Precisely, students assigned high agreement Delivery respectively less degree Practice.
