ABSTRACT
Trauma caused by ballistic projectiles in dogs causes severe lesions and may be fatal. Clinical evaluation is very important to verify the projectile path, its effects damage patient. This paper describes characteristics of a complex facial wound Pit Bull, projectile. Radiographic examination confirmed presence projectile, transfixing left maxilla, penetrating the nasal region, causing avulsion four teeth. The followed mandible, lead residues came back tongue, remaining mediolateral part basis, being surgically removed. impact affected three molar teeth, which fragments roots needed to extracted. patient recovered within one month follow-up period persisted for year,without intercurrences.
