Gender and Pakpak Dairi Language Changes

The shift or defense of a language is influenced by many factors.Industrialization and urbanization are seen as the main cause shifting language; in addition to other factors such small number speakers, settlement concentration, that often regarded local language.This research examines Pakpak Dairi how manner women different from men, even an imbalance between male female languages.It also observed whether gender influences study was conducted Sidikalang, district.Location selection based on consideration multilingual situation with presence Bahasa Indonesian, Batak Toba language, Karo which used social communication.Observations were made two sites consisting (1) urban areas more heterogeneous assumptions use domain intermarriage (2) same area homogeneous ethnic marital domain.This utilizes qualitative ethnography method.Data collected using scrutinize method, either talking (SLC) without (SBLC).The result proves have strong influence language.
