ABSTRACT
Canine hemoprotozoan diseases viz. ehrlichiosis and babesiosis are mostly associated with critical anemia thrombocytopenia pancytopenic changes, leading to multi-organ failure. For faster recovery of patients complicated diseases, whole blood transfusion or bone marrow stimulating agents produce more red cells (RBCs) platelets might be helpful. Unfortunately, canine specific procedures expensive even not available in many developing countries. Development alternate therapeutic modality by stimulation augment the production RBCs thus, treat is an urgent necessity. N-acetylcysteine (NAC), acts as a precursor reduced glutathione increases B cells. It also improves viability self-renewal capacity stem boosts hematopoietic differentiation protecting induced pluripotent This study envisaged develop approach combat pancytopenia secondary diseases. Bone mediated aplastic was experimentally administration cyclophosphamide rats. property NAC compared desmopressin, another stimulator, which revealed better terms hematobiochemical histopathological changes. Results rat model were extrapolated clinical cases having pancytopenia. Dogs treated disease therapy along rendered favorable changes haltering progression thrombocytopenia. Study that supplementation beneficial alleviate
