ABSTRACT
Health workers particularly radiographers have continuously faced with various occupational hazards due to the environment that is associated unsafe working conditions and lack of protective equipment. This study aimed explore knowledge practice safety among diagnostic in university Port Harcourt teaching hospital, Rivers state. The adopted descriptive cross-sectional study, a questionnaire was instrument used collect data from 226 radiographers. Data analyzed using SPSS version 25.0. Results shows good (72.8%); (68.5%). Regarding practices, exhibited moderate radiation protection practices (71.2%), most portraying practices. No significant gender or age differences were found Experience did not affect significantly. Radiographers specialized training displayed better concluded had appreciably high recommended continuing education programs, monitoring adequate facilities, enhanced curriculum on are required address gaps Nigeria.
