ABSTRACT
Most industries struggle with corrosion. Corrosion inhibitors are needed in these sectors. Eco-friendly corrosion should be effective even at low concentrations. In this work, the compound 2- Fluorophenyl-2, 5- dithiohydrazodicarbonamide (2F-TSC) was utilized as a inhibitor for copper 3.5% NaCl solution. The efficiency calculated by using series of electrochemical methods like, open circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), and impedance spectroscopy (EIS). All tests have been done stagnant condition. results show that 2F-TSC looked to mixed type. Furthermore, maximum reached 99.2% 10-2 M 5 h. adsorption on surface obeyed Langmuir isotherm negative value standard Gibbs free energy -35.4 kJ/mol (chemisorption physisorption). SEM, EDX, AFM confirmed presence copper. molecules Cu (111) further verified Monte Carlo simulation study. approved can an aggressive solution (3.5% NaCl).
