ABSTRACT
Saltwater intrusion has become a crucial issue for water resources management across the globe. Consequently, this leads to problems such as encroachment on intake zone, loss of freshwater vegetation and also disturbance aquatic life habitat. Undeniably climate change increases saline flow into river system. The meandering rivers are common, hydraulics is more complex than straight rivers. An experimental hydraulic investigation was carried out in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia elucidate hydrodynamic interactions between narrow channel. spatio-temporal salinity profiles along discussed paper. findings prevailed typical characteristic salt-wedge estuary indicated processes estuarine mixing. As saltwater flows upstream, level drops due dilution process. Salinity levels densimetric Froude number were mainly driven by discharge A variation rate channel up 78.9% strong velocity forces produced high discharge. Furthermore, resistance induced boundaries meander planform itself influenced
