ABSTRACT
Frijão is a peculiar Iron Age place in Northwest Portugal. Its peculiarity derives mostly from what appears to be the remains of ritual commensality found pit or ditch.Structures were exclusively made perishable materials. These destroyed by an apparently man-made and fire that articulated with riveted cauldron. In main structure site – large ditch several ceramic vessels different typologies, including inner-wing pots seem have been disposed sealed quickly after being used. this same structure, fruits species association frequent charcoal ashes. The analysis carried out led identification Quercus acorns three crops: naked wheat (Triticum aestivum / durum), emmer turgidum subsp. dicoccum) broomcorn millet (Panicum miliaceum).Unfortunately no sampling strategy was implemented during field work which makes it impossible evaluate whether carpological studied are representative actually there. It clear context utmost relevance for understanding social practices regional Age, but unsuitable its interpretation more difficult.
